Day 5

Arthur Jay and his Paw-Paw

Happy Memorial Day Everyone! There is something to be said about a child and their grandfathers. Arthur Jay is no exception. He loves his Paw-Paw. Arthur Jay talks about his Paw-Paw at random times and when he sees him for a weekend he is constantly concerned about where he is and what he is doing. The two of them sit on the porch talking and solving the worlds problems. It won't be too long before Arthur Jay is subscribing to the Wall Street Journal and watching MSNBC on a daily basis.

Day 4

Bubbas and his books

Here's the first of many pictures of Arthur Jay. If you know him, you know that he loves his books and he loves to read and to be read to. In this photo, he's at his Maw-Maw and Paw-Paw's in St. Augustine. They keep a large storage bin full of his favorite toys and books for when he comes to visit. He can entertain himself for a while with all of his toys. But when he wants to be read to, his Maw-Maw and Paw-Paw have no problem putting down what they are doing and reading till he is satisfied. He is their "Biddy Buddy."

Day 3

Dinner at The Raintree

Tonight Trevor and I went to our Anniversary restaurant in St. Augustine named The Raintree. This place is one of the best places to eat in all of St. Augustine and holds a special place in our hearts. We go there each year to celebrate us, though this year we went a little early because we have a busy month of June coming up. Our actual anniversary is June 26th. That is the day of our first "date", which was at a Waffle House in Georgia. Tonight the food at The Raintree was just wonderful. They change their menu every few months, so we have never had the same thing twice. The picture above is a card telling the story of The Raintree and the bottle of Pinot Noir we shared. Happy Early Anniversary Trevor! You are the love of my life. See y'all tomorrow.

Day 2

Wine Lovers Chandelier

We are up in St. Augustine visiting my in-laws for the weekend and this is the newest addition to their dining room. If you know us, we all really enjoy our wine, and this is a perfect fit for their taste. My mother in law, Linda, found this beauty in the Pottery Barn catalogue, if you are interested. See you tomorrow!!

Day 1

The Very Fuzzy Caterpillar

There are all sorts of bugs to see around our house. I found this little fella near the trash can. He was moving right along trying to get where he was going. I snapped a few shots and this one made the cut for the 1st photo. See you tomorrow!
